Boy Scout Troop 274 is preparing for our annual Christmas Tree and Wreath sale. This is our largest fundraiser of the year and serves to support our scouts by offsetting costs associated with our Summer High Adventure Trips.
These trips remain the cornerstone of our program and include traveling throughout the US to experience adventures that would not be possible if not for our fundraising efforts and your continued support.
Prior trips include back-packing in Yosemite National Park and the Eastern Sierras, going off the grid at the Philmont Scout Ranch for a 12 day trek, sailing the Florida Keys and canoeing the rivers of Maine.
As many businesses have felt this year, inventory is low, and prices are high. As a result of some of our supply issues, we are being asked to pre-order some of our specialty trees.
During our selling season we are often asked for large trees. We have the ability to stock 9 to 10 foot high quality trees that are Nordmann Firs (see picture below). However, we need to pre-order these and so we are reaching out to get interested parties if they would like one this year.
We hope to have a normal stock of 6-8 ft trees and recognize that most buy this size. Will start selling Thanksgiving weekend.
However, if you are interested in pre-ordering a 9-10 foot Nordman Fir we can arrange for it. The retail cost is $125. If interested, please send an email with contact information to the email address below. We are not asking for any money at this time. Payment will be due at pickup, and you will be able to choose a specific tree from our inventory.
We also are planning on expanding our wreath sales this year and have the ability to order larger wreaths (up to 36”). If you are interested in pre-ordering wreaths, please let us know as well.
